MOTHER NATURE CLAIMS PROGRAM AT
RANSOMVILLE SPEEDWAY

(Alex and Helen Bruce Photos)
Ransomville,
NY – Friday, June 8, 2007 – The Late afternoon thunderstorms
blew through the Niagara Frontier dumping a vast amountof moisture
on the 1/2 mile dirt oval. Heavy winds also brought down trees and
knocked out the power in the Ransomville area forcing management to
cancel the nights racing activities. This is the second rain out of
the season for the big R as the season opener was postponed due to
wet grounds.
The season to date has been a competitive one to say the least.
There have been four different winners in the Mighty Taco Modifieds,
five different winners in the Original Pizza Logs Sportsman and nine
different winners in the Johnston's Restaurant Streetstock ranks in
the first five weeks. Todd Burley and Alex Morris are the only two
drivers to grace victory lane twice in the 2007 season to date. With
the array of different winners, the points races also remain tight.
Coming up on the Ransomville Speedway schedule includes a full
card of racing this Friday night-June 15th along with a Go-Kart
Exhibition. The following Friday, June 22nd the BRP CanAm Late
Models come to town for their first of three appearances. The
Modifieds and Streetstocks along with the Roll-Over contest will
fill the racing card. The follwing pair of Fridays boasts two of the
big R's biggest shows. On Friday, June 29th-the Patriot Sprints make
their first of two appearances while Friday, July 6th is the
inaugural Friday night Big Block show. All the Dirt stars will be in
town for the 100 lap $6,000
to win main event.
