MORRIS, TARNOWSKI, LEWIS, SUSICE, FARNHAM, AND SHORT CAPTURE WINS ON LITTLE R

 

 

Thursday, August 11th, 2011 - A total of seventy-three drivers signed in last Thursday night to do battle amongst the six weekly divisions.  Several repeats and one new winner graced victory lane on a gorgeous late summer night.   

 

     In the Novice ranks - the win went to Taylor Morris for the second week in a row.  Morris took the lead away from sister Rachel Illig on lap eight and held it the final two circuits.  Rachel held on for second followed by Noah Coppins,  Alexis Bolam, Blake Matjoulis, and Chase Richner.  Welcome to new comers Matjoulis and Richner - Richner is the nephew of Mighty Taco Modified pilot Ricky Richner. Heat Winners were Morris and Illig.

 

     The Tim Phillips Garage Junior I class found a total of fourteen competitors take the initial green.  Carmeron Tuttle quickly emerged the leader but it would be Nicholas Tarnowski proving too tough to tame as he notched his sixth win of the season. Tuttle hung on for second followed by Gene Gregoric, Michael Carmer, Austin Susice, Kyle Phillips, Dylan Duhow, Stephen Imerese, Kevin Fuller, Kevin Marsh, Jordan Modan, Shelby Smith, Rylee Block, and Keirstan Farina.  The Junior I division has grown in leaps and bounds as many competitors have moved up from the Novice division. Heat Winners were Tuttle (2), Phillips, and Imerese.

 

     Steve Lewis collected his second win of the season aboard the Auto Rescue Team Junior II division.  Lewis took the lead away from Jeff Chapman on lap six and led the remaining distance. Points leader Katy Knoll came home in second followed by Marc Eberz, Andrew Srock, Chase Collins, Chapman, Donnie Haag, Selena Smith, Eric Veihdeffer, David Littlefield, and Adam Wagner.  Wagner moved up from the Junior I ranks. Heat Winners were Knoll, Littlefield, Chapman, and Eberz. 

 

     Austin Susice collected the win aboard the Junior Restricted division. Taking the lead at the drop of the green - Susice would hold points leader Nicholas Schultz at bay for the win. Schultz finished in second followed by Cam Stefanski, Trent Curtis, Zachery Haag, Matthew Veihdeffer, Alyssa Mullen, RJ Littlefield, Brian Monahan, John Conklin, Cody Kott, and Noah Walker.  Heat Winners were Susice, Kott, Schultz, and Haag.

 

     The Stock Medium win went to Matthew Farnham - his sixth of the season. Farnham took the lead at the drop of the green and held it the entire fifteen laps.  Chris Lammerts finished in second followed by Brad Duhow, Andy Schermerhorn, Braden Foley, Tim Swatsworth, Cole Daubney, Kevin House Jr., Mike Seefeldt, Andy Jankowiak, and Brett Senek.  Foley moved up from the Junior Restricted ranks to the Stock Medium division.  Heat Winners - Seefeldt, Farnham, Senek, and Lammerts.
     A season high eighteen karts took the green aboard the Clone feature.  When the final checkered flew it was Andy Short in for the win.  Short led from lap four on.  Jeff Anstett, Dan Heschke, Brandon Sherwood, Mike Journeaux, Bobby Mesler, Cori Webber, Justin Wright, Taylor Sears, Katy Knoll, John Bonesky, Michael Mesler, Courtney House, Chris Burke, Matt Hartsock, Brian Knox, Bailey Hudson, and Don Rappleyea rounded out the field.  Heat Winners were Knox, Journeaux, Sherwood, and Farnham.  After several wins in the Sportsman ranks, Justin Wright made his first start in a gokart on the Little R.
