Ransomville, NY...Sunday, January 1st, 2006-The 6th annual Hangover Enduro at Ransomville Speedway produced over two hundred and thirty-five entries and over 4,000 fans in the grandstands.

John Bottoms of Springville, NY took top honors in the fifty-lap 8 cylinder main. A total of fifty cars entered the event. Bottoms held a three lap advantage at the checkered. Matt Tracy led the first circuit followed by Gerald Hoffman. Hoffman took over the top spot on the backstretch of lap one. Pat O’Keefe of Youngstown took over the top spot by the lap two mark. John Bottoms was the fourth different leader in as many laps. Turn one became a parking lot by the lap five mark leaving drivers with the infield as the only way through. Bottoms was in command at the half-way point setting a fast pace up front. O’Keefe ran second a lap down. O’Keefe’s great run came to an early end as his powerplant expired. Dennis Haniszewski took over the second position as the final laps clicked away. At the checkered it was Bottoms in for the win followed by Haniszewski, Kenny Washburn, Chris Law, Tim Garlock, m10, Chris Burek, and Pat O’Keefe.

The 6 Cylinder main had a total of eighty-five entries sign in pitside plus an additional few stragglers who arrived at the speedway late. Current Streetstock driver Jesse Cotriss led the early going. Erick Rudolph held the second position prior to losing the position to Mark Hoch. Rudolph got spun around on the front stretch and in an attempt to get turned around-he got hit back into the moat.  Rudolph took “Kinser Way” around turns one and two emerging on the backstretch.  Cotriss came to a stop on lap twenty-one giving the lead to Nelson Tedesco. Tedesco’s good fortune turned to bad as his car also retired on lap twenty-two. Pat Celotto led the way at the halfway point followed by sprint car driver Tim Phillips. Phillips made up significant ground in the final laps.  Celotto made contact with a parked car with just six laps remaining giving the lead to Phillips. Phillips spun off turn four on lap forty-five giving the lead to Celotto. At the checkered it was Celotto in for the win. Phillips takes home third followed by an unidentified car-guess he should have listened to the rules and had a shark fin on the roof. With the muddy situation, it was impossible to read his car.

Exactly one hundred cars took the initial green flag aboard the 4 cylinder main. Dan Thiel of Boston took the lead followed by Bobby Studley. Studley took over the point position on lap five while many were black flagged for cutting through the infield. Thiel came to rest in turn one on lap thirteen ending his great run. Eric Witt of Boston, NY took over the second position but was one lap down to Studley. Contact off turn four of lap seventeen left Witt sideways in the moat. At half-way it was Studley followed by Kyle Phillips and Rusty Nail.  Once again-attrition was the name of the day as only nine cars remained at lap twenty-five. Studley came to rest in turn four with front end problems. The Roll-over King-Mike Pahl of Lockport took over the top spot while Phillips and Rusty Nail rounded out the top three. Pahl and Phillips scored on the same lap while “the Orange Fin” took over the third position. A side by side battle between Pahl and Phillips resulted in Phillips taking over the top spot. Phillips’ great move proved to be all for naught as he spun in turn four losing the lead back to Pahl.  The “Orange Fin” took over the top spot on lap twenty-four with only seven cars remaining. Pahl continued to run second followed by Phillips. The “Fin” appeared to be slowing as lap at the thirty-three lap while Phillips took over the second position. The “Fin” spun in turn three with a terminal problem as he was not able to continue. Pahl took over the top spot followed by Phillips and Josh Neuman. Neuman took over the second position after Phillips spun in turn two. Pahl maintained the spot capturing his first checkered flag.
