BURLEY, PRATT, AND MORRIS SET FAST TIME AT RANSOMVILLE SPEEDWAY
 

Ransomville, NY…Friday, April 27th, 2007…Under over cast skies, Ransomville Speedway kicked off the 2007 regular season with the annual test, tune, and time. A total of fifteen cars took time in the Mighty Taco Modifieds with Todd Burley setting fast time with 17.18. Jon Miller set second fast time and will share the front row with the defending points champion. Millers time was 17.22.
     Rookie contender Kevin Wills set third quickest time aboard the Modified ranks followed by Scott Kerwin, Pete Bicknell, Rich Vinson, Chad Brachmann, Ricky Richner, Todd Gordon, Jeff McGinnis, Boyd MacTavish, Robbie Krull, James Michael Friesen, Dave Just, Rick Hoctor, and Bill Torissi.
     Rob Pratt and Steve Schumacher will share the front row for the Original Pizza Logs Sportsman feature main event on opening night. By virtue of setting fast time with a time of 18.46, Pratt won the pole position. Pratt has only made a few appearances over the past few seasons at the big R but proved he knows the quick way around the big R. Schumacher and Jesse Cottriss tied for second however Schumachers’ combined total for his two laps were quicker than Cottriss’s therefore Schumacher was awarded the outside pole.
     Cottriss earned the third quickest time followed by Jipp Ortiz, Greg Martin, Don Spatorico, Tony Purgarich, James Henry, Sandy Pembleton, Jessie Pontello, Dave Flanagan, Steve Miller, Dave Charczuk, Bob Broomfield, Mike Short, Kevin Drake, Ed Cain, Scott Just, and Derek Smith.
     Alex Morris claimed fast time in the Johnston’s Restaurant Streetstocks with a time of 21.06-a total of seven tenths quicker than the next closest competitor. Setting second fast time was Roger Israel with a time of 21.78. Jaren Israel was third quick followed by Jamie O’Donnell, Webb Nashwinter, Wayne Close, Boots Martin, Chris Burek, Randy Zimmerman, Tim Raymond, Ryan Susice, Derek Borkenhagen, Allan Wills, Carla Duchnick, and Joe Rickard Jr.
