Ransomville, NY – Friday, June 1, 2007 – The humidity was high and the racing was hot as Ransomville Speedway completed their fifth consecutive week of racing. The 50th anniversary season continued to score high in success as a packed pit area and grandstands were enjoyed by promoters Jamie and Joel Friesen.

Pete Bicknell of St. Catharines, Ontario captured his first win of the season aboard the Mighty Taco Modified division. Bicknell used the inside lane on lap twenty-three to take over the lead position from Jon Miller. Miller had led the entire feature go up until that point. A pleasant surprise was the outstanding run by veteran Bill Torissi.  Torissi has simply been racing forever and was a force on Friday night as he challenged Miller many times over for the top spot. Torissi was able to hold onto third and collect his best feature finish ever aboard the Mighty Taco division. Defending champion Todd Burley took home fourth followed by Rich Vinson.
Tony Purgarich of Ransomville, NY took top honors last Friday night aboard the twenty-five lap Original Pizza Logs feature main.  Purgraich took command at the drop of the green and quickly ran away from the field. Purgarich maintained the top spot through the entire twenty-five circuits collected the big win…it was a first for Purgarich
in 2007. Scott Just, Jipp Ortiz, Don Spatorico, and Ed Cain rounded out the top five.

Patrick Dell of Ransomville, NY took top honors aboard the first Johnston’s Restaurant Streetstock fifteen lap main. Dell took control early on and held off persistent challenges by Brain Sparks to score his first win of the season. Dell became the nineth different winner in the class this season as there had yet to be a repeat victor.

Alex Morris of Niagara Falls, NY became the second winner aboard the Johnston’s Restaurant Streetstock division. Morris inherited the lead on lap twelve after current leader Sean Letts headed pitside with mechanical difficulties. Morris maintained the top spot through the final laps and took the win followed by Boots Martin, Dave Conant, Nate Vetter, and Roger Israel.

Mark Brown of Wilson, NY took top honors aboard the Bobcat of Buffalo Firehall Enduro twelve lap feature main.
