Ransomville, NY – Friday, June 22, 2007 – A total of eight-six cars signed in pitside to do battle in three divisions last Friday night.  It  was another successful event for the Big R as the grandstands and pit area were filled.

Chad Brachmann captured the win last Friday night aboard the thirty-lap Mighty Taco Modified feature main. Brachmann took the lead away from Pete Cosco on lap eighteen and quickly pulled away from the field aboard his Original Pizza Logs sponsored #3 machine. Brachmann took the win followed by Cosco, Jeff McGinnis, Dave Just, and Jon Miller.   The twenty-six car strong field was led to the initial green by Rick Hoctor and Cosco. The green was very short lived however as disaster struck on lap one. Kevin Wills appeared to lose the handle in turn four collecting a total of twelve cars. Amongst them were points leader Todd Burley, Pete Bicknell, invader Danny Johnson, Robbie Krull, Sam Crogan, Joe Kubiniec, James Friesen, Todd Gordon, and Randy Chrysler. That was the one and only caution as the field ran clean and green the remainder of the race enroute to Brachmann’s first win of the 2007 season at Ransomville.
Larry Knowles of Painted Post, NY took top honors aboard the thirty lap BRP CanAm Late Model main event. Knowles took command at the drop of the green and maintained the top spot through five caution periods to take the win. Randy Hall, Matt Cobb, Paul Grigsby, and Jason Knowles rounded out the top five. The twenty-eight car strong field was reduced to eighteen at the finish.

Nate Vetter of Depew, NY took top honors for the second time in 2007 aboard the Johnston’s Restaurant Streetstock division. Vetter took the lead away from Dave Jowdy on lap ten and quickly pulled away from the remainder of the field. Vetter won by a full straight away aboard the first fifteen lap Johnston’s Restaurant main followed by Jowdy,  Brandon Sherwood, Randy Zimmerman, and Brian Lonneville.

Roger Israel of Wilson, NY took top honors aboard the second Johnston’s Restaurant Streetstock division. Israel took the lead on lap six and held off persistent challenges in the late going by Boots Martin for the win. Martin settled for second followed by Kirk Tuttle, Brian Sparks, and Alex Morris.

The Roll-Over contest proved to be one of the most entertaining to date as Roll-over King Mike Pahl was bested by good friend Jaren Israel. Sporting two hot looking machines-Israel and Pahl both completed 4 1/2 rotations on their first attempt with Israel able to make the run one more time for another 1/2 roll. Israel's mount looked
familiar as it was lettered to match his weekly SS entry while Pahl did Ransomville proud sporting a 50 for the 50th Anniversary.
