Ransomville, NY-Friday, August 10, 2007-One hundred cars seen
action last Friday night at the big R. A season high of thirty-six
Streetstocks led the way along with forty Sportsman in town for the
Lucas Oil Shootout. Clear bright blue skies greeted race fans for a
night of fast paced racing fun.

Todd Burley of Spencerport, NY extended his points lead aboard the
Mighty Taco Modified division with his fifth win last Friday. Burley
took the lead away from Chad Brachmann with just a hand full of laps
remaining aboard the thirty lap main. Brachmann held on to second
followed by rookie contender Kevin Wills, Pete Bicknell, and Scott
Kerwin.
Jon Miller led the early stages of the main event followed by Wills.
Miller looked strong in the early going as he pulled away from the
field. On the move was Brachmann who quickly advanced to the front.
Brachmann took over the lead position just prior to half way but a
late caution put Burley on his back bumper. Burley was able to use a
move to the inside of turn four on lap twenty-six and took over the
top spot. Burley went on for the win.

Don Spatorico of Ransomville, NY took the win aboard the 50 lap
Grelak Mechanical Lucas Oil Sportsman Nationals Shoot-out last
Friday night. Spatorico took the lead away from Mike Short on lap
five and maintained it the remaining distance aboard his Able Auto
Wrecking sponsored machine. The former Modified driver collected his
fifth win in a row-sixth of the season in the Sportsman division.
Short led the early going followed by Spatorico, John Smith, Scott
Just, and Ricky Newton. Several cautions plagued the event including
a lap thirty-eight red as the cars of Ed Cain, Steve Schumacher, and
Tommy Flannigan blocked the track in turn two. The drivers were
a-okay but their racers done for the night. Once in front Spatorico
was able to maintain the top spot as Just and Chevalier battled lap
after lap for the runner up position. At the line it was Spatorico
followed by Chevalier, Just, Tyler MacPherson, and Greg Panunte.

Ryan Susice of Ransomville, NY took top honors for the third time
this season aboard the first Johnston’s Restaurant Streetstock main.

never seriously challenged after that point. Susice took the win
followed by Kirk Tuttle, Nate Vetter, Chris Burek, and Patrick Dell.
