Friday, May 09, 2008-Ransomville, NY-SUCCESS-that is the word to be used to describe the 51st season opener at Ransomville Speedway. One hundred and ten cars jammed the pit area on a clear and cool May evening. Add that with a packed grandstand and an awesome speedway-the end result-SUCCESS!

Mr. Small Block Pete Bicknell captured opening night laurels aboard the Mighty Taco Modified division. Bicknell used his outside pole starting position to quickly jump into the lead. Bicknell would not be challenged as he blistered the field and led the entire distance. Bicknell held a full straight away lead by lap twenty-four. Robbie Krull and Jon Miller rounded out the top three. A total of twenty-one Modified contenders took the green.
