Ransomville Speedway recognizes a rookie / novice
karter as one who has not raced
competitively at Ransomville Speedway. In some cases, different criteria may
apply-at the Race Director’s discretion.
Novice
Driver Requirement: Ages 5-8 (as of
May 4th, 2008)
Minimum Weight: 245 lbs. (kart & driver)
General Rules: WKA
Fuel: Methanol
Engine: Briggs & Stratton 5 hp. Must run .425 (purple) intake restrictor plate
Gear Rule: 13 clutch drive: 58 gear on axle.
Tires: Burris Tires Only
NO STEERING FAIRING ALLOWED
Junior I
Driver Requirement: Ages 8-10 (as of May 4th, 2008)
Minimum Weight: 265 lbs. (kart & driver)
General Rules: WKA

Junior II

2008
Procedures
All classes will draw for their starting positions upon sign-in. Sign-in
closes at 6:30-all drivers signing in after that point will be required to
start tail in both heats. Each division will run two sets of heats with
the over-all performance determining the feature line-up....simply
speaking the better a driver does in his heats-the better starting
position he will have in the feature.
Novice Drivers will be required to move up to Junior I after they have won
a total of six feature events in one season.
