CLARIFICATION OF MINI STOCK SERIES RULES
The intent of the Mini-Stock Series was to open up the division for drivers to compete at multiple tracks. Rules were developed during the off season based on current rules. Last week a few questions were raised. The information that follows addresses those questions.
Wheels and tires: DOT tires only (no chains or studded tires). No Snow or Winter Tires. Tires and rims left to right must remain the exact same size. Racing Wheels allowed. (7 inch (7”) maximum width with a 3 inch (3”) minimum offset). NO less than 200 wear rating for tires. No sipping, grinding or grooving of tires allowed.
Or 13” – 16” stock steel, aluminum and Aftermarket Racing Wheels Permitted. Maximum wheel width seven inches (Measured inside of bead to inside of bead). Rim diameter must match rt to lt. Any D.O.T. 8” maximum width. No LT, tractor, snow, mud or studded tires allowed. NO WHEEL SPACERS. The ONLY Legal Racing Tire on a 15” rim will be the Hoosier 36106 & 36104 and American Racer 7 inch 44 compound #jp5kjs44. No other Racing Tire will be allowed on a 15” rim. *** Maximum wheel offset 2”.
Engine: K&N filters allowed, must be in stock location. No air induction or other devices to direct air. Mass air flow sensor must stock and in stock location.
Intake and throttle bodies must be stock OEM with no modifications.
Cold air kits will NOT be allowed.
Any illegal parts detected during tech will be confiscated.
