Ransomville Speedway

Ransomville Speedway Profile: Ashley Daul

The Ransomville Speedway go kart program has created a fantastic community, bonding people and forming lifelong friendships. There is nothing but smiles, laughter, and maybe a game of football coming from the pits on Thursday nights. This girl is no exception, as she always has a smile on her face, no matter how the night goes. Fueled by coffee, Ashley Daul, from Ransomville, is a consistent competitor in the Senior Heavy class every Thursday at the Little R. Although Daul’s favorite color is orange, the neon pink #8 will shine bright as it is easiest for her mom to spot on the track. Daul grew up in the racing scene as her dad and grandpa raced #53 and says she chose #8 to represent her since it was also her number throughout her time participating in high school sports. When she expressed being torn between running #8 or #53, her grandpa told her to “run #8 because 5+3=8” and she listened. Starting in 2012, Daul says that there “is definitely competition” and thinks that Senior Heavy is a “good class” for the competitive edge inside her. Kevin Wills and Sean Letts have taught her a lot about racing, and she doesn’t plan to stop learning anytime soon. She plans to run the complete 2020 Ransomville go kart schedule and “keep progressing” in hopes to get a feature win. Daul would like to thank Wills Racing and Wilson Brew Co. for their support for the 2020 season. She would also like to express gratitude to her parents, Lee, and the Wills family.
