Take Two: 7th Annual John Susice Memorial This Friday Night

RANSOMVILLE, NY (September 9, 2024) After Mother Nature intervened last Friday night, Ransomville Speedway will be back in action this coming Friday Night with the 7th Annual John Susice Memorial for the Butler Excavating Empire Street Stock Series presented by Neff Landscaping, powered by Cummings Trucking. Joining the Street Stocks will be the annual Big Block/Small Block Shootout for the Modifieds, plus the Stirling Lubricants DIRTcar Sportsman, and the Kevin’s Carpet Cleaning Novice Sportsman.

The event will pay $1025 to win, $525 for second, $425 for third, $325 for fourth, and $225 for fifth place. Specialty awards and a lucrative lap sponsorship program will also be distributed.

The Butler Excavating Empire Street Stock Series is presented by Neff Landscaping and powered by Cummings Trucking. What driver will find themselves parking in Close Racing Supply Victory Lane Friday night? The Hard Charger award will be presented by Bud’s Apple Pie and the Hard Luck award is sponsored by Big Mike’s Auto Repair. The 7th place finisher in the race will receive a gift certificate from Joe Wilcox Transmissions.

Additional sponsorship is presented by Triple T Auto Parts, Susice Junk Cars, Everyone’s Easting Fresh, Scrivani and Sons Auto, Jamies Produce, Coppins Service Center, Military Towing, DNA Towing, J&D Tires, Ken Home Improvement, and LEO Property Maintenance.

The John Susice Memorial pays tribute to the former Street Stock supporter, mechanic, and engine builder that passed away in February 2017. He was also the uncle of former Modified track champion, Ryan Susice, and grandfather to Austin and Cole Susice. Past race winners include Rob Murray (2017), Cory Sawyer (2018), Dave Bailey (2019), Jaren Israel (2021), Glenn Whritenour (2022), and Josh Pangrazio (2023).

Fans can receive $1 ice cream at the concession stands by bringing in any donation for the Niagara County SPCA. Dry food, towels, dog bedding, treats, and more will be accepted and will be donated to the SPCA of Niagara.
Pit gates will open at 5pm, with grandstands opening at 6pm, and racing getting underway at 7:15pm. For those unable to attend in person, you can catch the action live on Dirt Track Digest TV. Adult grandstand admission is $20, with students aged 12-17 and seniors (60 +) $17, and kids 11 and under are admitted free. All fans 17 and under MUST be accompanied by an adult.
